PTI supporters have taken to the streets in Rawalpindi against the delay in the registration of the first information report (FIR) of the assassination attempt on party chairman Imran Khan.

The protesters gathered outside the Allama Iqbal Park and chanted anti-government slogans. They blocked the Murree road by burning tyres.

A Dawn.com reporter present at the site said that a scuffle was also reported between PTI workers after Fayyazul Hasan Chohan slapped a protester for spilling petrol on other people.

Meanwhile, another group of demonstrators, led by provincial minister Raja Basharat, staged a protest at the IJP road and demanded that a transparent inquiry be conducted into the attack on the PTI chief.
