ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has rejected fake information circulated on social media and informed that the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) will be held on 13th November.

It is worth mentioning that a letter is being circulated on social media claiming that due to prevailing situating in the country MDCAT has been postponed and new date will be announced later.

“PMC refutes all the rumours, fake notifications as baseless which are being circulated merely to misguide students and candidates about the exam. PMC has been working tirelessly for holding MDCAT 2022.

“Any information related to MDCAT will officially be announced by PMC. Students/candidates are requested to ignore all such misleading and fake news and only rely on PMC official handles and news source,” a statement issued by PMC mentioned.

It claimed that the commission has been striving to improve healthcare education through the advancement of quality medical and dental education in Pakistan.

“The healthcare regulator is setting benchmarks in line with global best practices to ensure quality healthcare for every citizen of our great nation. PMC has set standards of excellence and continues to work towards implementing them in every medical and dental institute across Pakistan for both undergraduate and postgraduate education.

The PMC is dedicated to improving the medical/health care delivery standards so that doctors/dentists can serve the patients well in a more efficient and professional manner. “PMC will continue working towards the targets we have set to raise the standard of medical and dental education and licencing in Pakistan while continuing to discipline individuals and organisations who do not meet the benchmarks of excellence set by PMC,” it stated.

“From promptly resolving day-to-day complaints/queries of the students/doctors and others PMC is also ensuring that there should be no delay in any official or related matter requested by the public,” it stated.
