QUETTA: Four alleged terrorists were killed and two security personnel embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation in Kamal Pass area of Shahrig town of Harnai district.

According to a statement of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued here on Monday, members of security forces launched an intelligence-based operation in Kaman Pass area near Shahrig area of Balo­chistan to clear a hideout of terrorists.

Two security personnel martyred in operation, says ISPR

Members of security forces, the ISPR said, were heli-dropped near the suspected location of terrorists to cut their escape routes and clear the hideout. However, terrorists opened fire that resulted in the martyrdom of Sepoys Shafi Ullah and Muhammad Qaiser. During the heavy exchange of fire, four terrorists were killed and arms and ammunition, including improvised explosive devices, were recovered.

The operation continued in the area to arrest other terrorists, the ISPR said.
