GUJRANWALA, Dec 27: An FIA constable was shot dead by a human smuggler and his seven men in Machine Mohallah in Kharian on Monday night. Reports said an FIA (passport cell) raiding team, led by inspector Gul Snober, had gone to Kharian to arrest human smuggler Abdul Haq Butt. As the law enforcers raided the hideout, the accused and his men opened fire on them, killing Amin. On receiving information, FIA deputy director Naeem Akram Bharoka, assistant director Chaudhry Kamran Ata and other officers reached the spot and got information about the incident.

On their report, a case was registered against the accused and his seven men.

Meanwhile, another FIA’s raiding team arrested on Tuesday human trafficker Malik Sheraz from his residence in Shadman Colony, Gujrat. However, his two agents Malik Imran and his brother Malik Amir managed to escape.
