LAHORE: Unidentified gunmen shot at and killed a lawyer in the Faisal Town area here on Friday.

The suspects, who came on a motorbike, fired many shots at Mian Faisal when he was sitting outside his office and fled.

A Rescue 1122 ambulance shifted him to a local hospital where he breathed his last.

The police raised pickets, but to no avail, as the killers disappeared into the narrow streets of the area.

A police official said CCTV footage of the incident had been obtained. He said they were clueless about the motive behind the assassination of the lawyer. He said the police officials were trying to contact the family of the deceased lawyer to get some leads to trace the killers. The police teams were also in contact with some of his colleagues’ lawyers to get details about the case he was pursuing in court. The body was shifted to the city morgue for autopsy. The police registered a murder case against the unidentified gunmen.
