KARACHI, Dec 22: Country’s top ranking men and women players would feature in the fifth Subh-e-Nau national hard court ranking tennis tournament which is being held here from Jan 16 to 22, its chairperson, Mrs. Shahida Kauser Farooq, announced on Thursday.

Shahida, also a PTF council member, disclosed that this would be followed by hosting of a similar ranking tournament on the clay courts at Islamabad from Feb 27 to March 5.

Both the tournaments which are now an annual feature were revived about five years back by her NGO after well over a decade.

She said the proceeds collected from both the events would be spent on rehabilitation of earth quake victims.

Dr. Jawwad Chishtie will act as tournament director.
