PESHAWAR, Dec 22: Pakistan Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation’s managing director Mohammad Ali Khoja has pledged support for the tourism sector. He said his corporation had played a vital role in the development of different sectors through investment and was interested in investing in tourism, hospitality and handicraft sectors of the NWFP.

Speaking at a function held at a local hotel in connection with inauguration of a PICIC branch at Chowk Yadgar Peshawar City here on Thursday, he offered people to come forward and invest in tourism and hospitality sectors of the Frontier province, in collaboration with the PICIC.

He said province had a vast potential in these sectors and urged the need to explore hidden provincial natural treasures.

The managing director called upon investors to get help from the PICIC. “We will support them at all just to benefit the people of the country”, he said, adding that the PICIC had invested in CNG stations from Karachi to Khyber.

The role played by the PICIC in development of industrial sectors could not be ignored. The PICIC city branch would cater to the financial and economic needs of small and medium size industries as well as individual customers.—Correspondent
