BANNU, Dec 22: District Nazim Azam Khan Durrani has said that the district government will purchase land soon to construct sports stadiums in six villages. He was speaking at a meeting held here on Thursday to review progress on the plan of stadiums.

Mr Durrani said the district government was facing certain problems due to the high rate of land in these villages.

The district government is planning to construct stadiums in villages Mamashkhel, Dawood Shah, Ghoriwala, Soorani, Mandan and Kakki. Each stadium would require 50 kanals of land, the nazim said.

MPA Maulana Abdul Razaq Mujaddidi, DCO Shah Wali, ACO Javed Ahmad, sports officer Anwar Rashid and others attended the meeting.
