PESHAWAR: The Career Development Centre (CDC) of the Cecos University Peshawar organised a career fair and final-year project exhibition at the main campus in Hayatabad here.

The objective of the event was to access and evaluate the final-year projects of graduating students from various fields, according to a statement issued here on Saturday.

Various industry and academic experts took part in evaluation of 70 projects. Many industry experts took interest in marketable viability of certain projects and guided the students on ways to commercialise their projects.

Meanwhile, over 40 national and multi-national companies participated in the career fair, giving an opportunity to the graduating students and alumni to present themselves to the talent acquirers. Eight companies conducted their recruitment drive against their open positions, whereas rest of the firms shortlisted relevant profiles for internship positions.

The event served as a brilliant platform for exposure of students with the corporate world as well as getting firsthand knowledge from recruiters in mock interviews and tips to make effective and standout resumes.

Cecos University is making remarkable advancements in technology implementation in academics and operations, besides promoting industry-academia linkages.
