ISLAMABAD: A woman was found murdered in a house in the capital which she had hired on rent a day earlier, police said on Friday.

The police said the body of the 45-year-old-woman was found in the house located in Buksh Town, about two km from the Shams Colony police station.

The police shifted the body to hospital and said the victim was shot twice in the head.

The police quoted the landlord of the house as saying that she along with a 24-year-old man, whom she introduced as her son, had shifted to the house on September 14. The police said the man was missing from the house now.

The deceased had married thrice and had three children - two sons and a daughter - from her first husband, said the police, adding his younger son used to live with her and both had shifted to the house from Nasirabad Rawalpindi.

A case had also been found registered against the deceased in Nowshera on the charges of kidnapping women. The police suspected that her son might have been involved in the murder.
