Police recover kidnapped child

MUZAFFARGARH: Police claim to have recovered on Friday a 15-month-old toddler from a man in Mianwali, who had allegedly kidnapped the child from Layyah two days back, and arrested the kidnappers.

Crore Lal Eesan Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shahid Nadeem said at a press conference the suspect that a complainant, Bilal, said his 15-month-old son Zeeshan had been kidnapped from his house.

He said south Punjab Additional IG Dr Ehsan Sadiq took notice of the incident and ordered immediate recovery of the child and arrest of kidnapper(s).

He said a team led by SHO Chaudhry Tariq after investigating the matter traced the kidnappers recovered the child and handed him over to his father.
