KARACHI, Dec 21: About 13,000 students have been registered for BCom (external) part-I and II annual exams commencing on Dec 30, said controller of examination of the Karachi University on Wednesday.

The controller of examination, Dr Syed Anwar Zaidi, said in all 15 examination centres for male candidates and 4 for woman candidates would be set up at different departments.

He mentioned that as per the initial programmes the exams were to be held from Dec 10 and date sheets were accordingly sent to the candidates.

Since the schedule has been revised now, students are once again being directed to collect the details of papers and dates from the varsity, or visit the website: ku.edu.pk/news/new-schdeule.htm, he added.

According to revised schedule, first paper of BCom (external exams), ie a part-I paper, Pakistan Studies, of 1 ½ hr duration will be held on Dec 30. On Dec 31, Business and Industrial Law (paper-II) of part-II would be held.

Exam scheduled is as follows:

Part-I; Pakistan Studies (paper I) on Dec 30, Economics Analysis (IV) on Jan 3, Introduction to Business (III) on Jan 5, English (II) on Jan 7, Banking and Finance (VII) on Jan 17, Islamic Studies or Moral Philosophy (I) on Jan 20, Principles of Accounting (IV) on Jan 23 and Statistics and Business Mathematics (V) on Jan 25.

Part-II; Business and Industrial Law (II) on Dec 31, Advanced Accounting (IV) on Jan 2, Urdu/Sindhi/Humanities and Social Science (VII) on Jan 4, Business Communication (I) on Jan 6, Cost Accounting (V) on Jan 16, Optional papers (VII) on Jan 19, Economics of Pakistan (III) on Jan 21 and Principles of Management (VI) on Jan 23.

In the meantime the university has announced that the paper of BCom-I (Introduction to Business) which was postponed on Dec 10 due to by-election will now be held on Dec 28. Similarly the paper of Economics, BA (regular/external) exams, which could not be held on Dec 10 will now be held on Jan 7.
