An awareness walk was held in Battagram Bazaar, where the participants included deputy commissioner Irfanullah Mehsud, tehsil council chairman Attaullah Khan and notables.

“To keep our surroundings clean is our religious duty. We all should need to make sure that we live in clean and healthy environment,” he said.

Mr Mehsud said the exercise was meant to enhance civic sense among people to keep the locality and its surroundings clean.

He underlined the need for educating people on the importance of clean environment and hygienic conditions.
