LAHORE: The Information Technology University of the Punjab celebrated its 10th anniversary on Saturday.

The ITU began its journey in 2012, with the department of computer sciences and since then it has set up five departments, offering 13 programmes.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sarfraz Khurshid said: “In these 10 years, ITU has achieved excellence in research across the globe, bagged prestigious awards such as Google Scholar Research Award and Eugene Garfield Award. ITU has also won three national research centres from HEC and grants from prestigious institutions comprising Facebook, Nat Geo, Google, WHO and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.”
