KHAIRPUR, Dec 18: The Urs of Sufi saint Mehdi Shah of Jehania alias Fakir Mehdi Saeen started on Sunday at his residence near Ranipur. Folk singers Fakir Janib Ali, Fakir Azizullah and Bangul Fakir laid chaddar on Takiya of the sufi saint. Mehdi Saeen passed most of his life in the district and a three-day Mela was held every year at his residence when he was alive.
He was a Sufi poet of Ham-Ost school of thought.—BoC
