Poor state of health facility

Published December 18, 2005

DERA GHAZI KHAN, Dec 17: The District Headquarters Hospital has been running without facilities and staff for long. Information gleaned by Dawn reveals that the ICU and orthopaedic wards have no equipment. Even the ultrasound machine has been lying inoperative.

The post of urologist has been lying vacant for the last one and-a-half months.

It is worth mentioning that the DHQ hospital medical superintendent is on a long leave and the EDO (health) is currently running its affairs.
