South Korea, Japan in final

LAHORE, Dec 15: Defending champions South Korea and Japan qualified for the final of the Asian Under-19 rugby championship after emerging as top teams of their respective pools at Fortress Stadium on Thursday.

In the last group match, Korea outclassed Kazakhstan 40-3 to earn another emphatic victory.

Japan showed no mercy to UAE winning the last match in style 74-0.

In other matches, Brunei thrashed India 73-8.

Sri Lanka fought hard to beat Thailand 25-10. Taiwan brushed aside Malaysia 27-5.

On the final day, Saturday, besides the final between Korea and Japan, three more classifications ties will also be played.

Thailand will meet Taiwan, Sri Lanka lock horns with Malaysia while Kazakhstan with UAE.
