RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi on Tuesday announced that as per the notification of the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC), the annual intermediate (part-I) and practical matriculation examinations have been rescheduled.

BISE spokesman Arsalan Cheema said the examinations that were to be held on July 8, July 16 and July 18 have been postponed due to Eidul Azha holidays and by-elections in PP-7 Kotli Sattian. Exams for the following subjects would now be held on July 29 as per the new schedule: history of Muslim India, history of Pakistan, history of the modern world, history of culture and evening geography, elementary anatomy and microtechnics and basic medical sciences.

The civics, business mathematics and philosophy exams will now be held on July 27 whereas the English exam will be held on July 28.

The practical matriculation exam will be held on July 19. Practical in chemistry (all groups), that was scheduled for July 8 (Friday), will now be held on July 19 (Tuesday). Chemistry (all groups) practical scheduled for July 16 will be held on July 20 while the practical scheduled for July 18 will be held on July 21.

BISE Controller Examination Nasir Mehmood Awan told Dawn that the examinations have been rescheduled due to Eidul Azha and by-elections.
