BAHAWALPUR: An oil tanker caught fire on Vehari Road in Hasilpur on Thursday, according to Rescue 1122.

Petrol was being shifted to the tank from the oil tanker when the vehicle caught fire. This created panic among the people. However, the driver managed to drive the oil tanker to a deserted place.

Upon receipt of an emergency call, the rescuers arrived at the site and extinguished the fire.

EXHIBITION: An exhibition of archives was organized at the local museum in connection with the International Archives Day. A number of artefacts and historical objects were placed at the exhibition.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar, who stressed the need to preserve antiques and artefacts. He said that national archives were the pillars of literary, social and political development and progress.
