KARACHI: Pakistan Veterans beat Oman Masters 2-1 in the first of the three-match series here at the Dr. M.A. Shah and Olympian Islahuddin Hockey Academy on Sunday Olympian Kamran Ashraf gave the home team the lead under floodlights in ninth minute before the visitors drew level through Atta Hassan in the 20th.

In the 41st, Olympian Sameer Hussain scored the winner for the Veterans.

The second match of the series will be played on Tuesday.
