TOBA TEK SINGH: The 22 arrested activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), including Toba municipal committee vice-chairman Saeedur Rehman Tahir, were shifted from the Toba district jail to Multan central jail on Wednesday.

They have been detained for one month under the MPO.

A rally of PTI activists, led by MNA Faizullah Kamoka, dismantled the barricades and reached the Motorway for the onward journey to Islamabad.

In Gojra, scores of PTI activists, led by Usama Hamza, also hit the motorway.

BAHAWALPUR: More than 200 arrested PTI activists from Muzaffargarh and Layyah districts were shifted to New Central Jail, Bahawalpur, while 20 local activists, MNA Farooq Azam Malik, and PTI South Punjab women wing’s chief Dr Sumaira Malik, were shifted to the Multan jail.

Moreover, authorities have directed Prince Bahawal Khan Abbasi to refrain from holding political meetings on the premises of the Sadiqgarh Palace, Dera Nawab Sahib. The prince is considering to contest elections from the PTI platform.

SAHIWAL: Up to 130 arrested political workers of PTI from different cities of Punjab have been shifted to the Sahiwal Central Prison.

Of them, 48 are from Faisalabad, 37 Chiniot, 25 Okara and 11 political workers from Dera Ghazi Khan. Also, 60 workers were arrested in Sahiwal and another 30 in Pakpattan.

OKARA: The district police arrested 60 PTI workers, and of them, 32 were shifted to Sahiwal district jail under the Punjab Public Maintenance Order, 1960.

MUZAFFARGARH: On Tuesday, more than 500 workers were arrested, and most of them were sent to the Bahawalpur Central Jail whereas Muzaffargarh district jail official said that no prisoners were shifted here from any place since there is no space in the jail.

Three PTI MPAs from Muzaffargarh have already arrived in Islamabad, while MNA Dr Shabbir Qureshi was on the way to the capital.

The PTI activists from Multan also arrived in Islamabad on Monday night after removing the blockade.

GUJRAT: The police fired tear gas shells and baton-charged PTI workers at the Jhelum River bridge and in Mandi Bahauddin district. The police also detained several dozen workers. A group of party workers, led by MPA Chaudhry Arshad, was present at Sara-i- Alamgir GT Road.
