MANSEHRA: A man and his three sons were killed over a land dispute here on Monday.
The police said Mohammad Rustam and his sons – Osama Rustam, Mohammad Sohrab and Mohammad Waqas – were plowing a disputed piece of land in Blagh Payyen area of Mansehra tehsil, when Mohammad Rafique and his sons – Mohammad Nadeem, Mohammad Azam and Asim Raza – showed up and opened fire on them after exchange of harsh words. The firing left the man and his three sons seriously injured.
The injured were shifted to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, where doctors pronounced all but Mohammad Waqas dead.
Waqas was later referred to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad, but he succumbed to injuries before reaching there.
The police after lodging FIR on the complaint of widow of slain Mohammad Rustom started raids to arrest the accused.
Meanwhile, a girl student of 10th grade died after being bitten by a snake in Balyani area of Balakot.
The girl was shifted to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad, where she died.
