MIRPURKHAS: A traffic police constable was knocked down by a speeding truck on Mirpurkhas-Hyderabad road on Monday.
According to the police and onlookers, Constable Yaseen Bhutto was critically injured in the accident. He was rushed to the Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital for emergency treatment and then referred to the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) in Hyderabad but he died on the way.
The body was brought back to the civil hospital for legal formalities before it was handed over to the heirs.
The truck driver was arrested and his vehicle impounded.
Meanwhile, Aurangzeb Qureshi, one of the four youths injured in a collision between their two motorbikes and a car two days ago on Khaan road, died during treatment at the LUMHS hospital, reports reaching here on Monday said.
