Cigarettes worth Rs5m taken away

FAISALABAD, Dec 6: Eight gangsters took away cigarettes and other articles worth over Rs5 million from a company’s godown here at Chak 209-RB on Jaranwala Road on Monday night. Reports said the bandits forced their entry into the godown of the cigarette company and held hostage the entire staff. The gangsters made off with cigarettes and other valuables worth over Rs5 million.

FLOWER EXHIBITION: An annual flower exhibition jointly arranged by the Gardeners Club Faisalabad and the Serena Environmental Society started here on Tuesday.

Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company Chairman Mian Muhammad Latif inaugurated the exhibition.

Khwaja Abdullah of the Gardeners Club and Saadia Abbas of the Serena Environmental Society briefed the press and the visitors about salient features of the exhibition.
