Ex-MPA, UC nazim on judicial remand

GUJRANWALA, Dec 6: The anti-terrorism court No.1 on Tuesday sent former MPA Mian Mazhar Javid and Ladhaywala UC nazim Rana Khalid to jail on judicial remand and directed the police to produce them on Dec 13. They were booked by the police for creating law and order situation during by-polls.

INTERIM BAIL: The anti-terrorism court No. 1 on Tuesday accepted an interim bail application of five police constables involved in the escape of main accused in Sialkot jail incident SHO Zulfikar Ali Virk.

The court directed constables Mudasar Hayat, Waris Ali, Tariq Ali, Muhammad Arshad and Kashif Husain to deposit surety bond worth Rs50,000 each. The case was adjourned till Dec 14.

KILLED: Two friends were run over and killed by a speeding car near Ghakhar Town here on Tuesday.

Reports said Muhammad Ejaz and Naeem Ahmed were standing at the bus stand when the vehicle (LHM-9906) ran over them. They died on way to hospital.
