LARKANA: Power cables at 132 KV grid station caught fire near Khoso village on the Larkana-Ratodero road, resulting into immediate power shut to 17 feeders on Thursday.

The fire started at around 2pm was immediately extinguished by the fire brigade which was called in from the Larkana Municipal Corporation.

Till sending this story, officials of the Sukkur Electric Power Company (Sepco) with the help of technical staff were trying to repair and restore the power supply to 17 feeders of 11 KV.

The affected feeders belonged to City-2, Empire Road, industrial area, New Murad Wahan, Baharpur, colony area, Damrah, Nazar New, Old Naudero, Radio Pakistan, Jeelani Madrissah, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Sachal, Shaikh Zaid, tube-well-4, Waleed and New Miro Khan.

Technical staff was called in from Sukkur and Larkana to restore the supply to 17 feeders in the sub-division, the Sepco executive engineer told reporters.
