RAWALPINDI: The temperature in the last days of Ramazan is expected to remain on the warmer side as the Met Office has predicted that it will be 5 to 7°C above normal during the day time.

Keeping this in view, farmers have been directed to manage crop water accordingly whereas citizens have been urged to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight and not to waste water.

Due to high pressure in the upper atmosphere, the day time temperature is likely to increase gradually in most parts of the country from April 26 (Tuesday) till May 2 (Monday).

The temperature is likely to remain between 6-8°C above normal in upper and central Sindh, central and South Punjab and parts of Balochistan. However, daytime temperatures are likely to remain 5-7°C above normal in upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Hot and dry weather may cause water stress on water reservoirs, standing crops, vegetables and orchards.
