LAHORE: A judicial magistrate on Monday remanded four suspects in police custody for their involvement in torture of a serving army officer.

CIA police produced the suspects before the court of the magistrate and sought their 10-day physical remand. The suspects are allegedly private security guards of PML-N leaders Khwaja Salman Rafiq and Hafiz Nauman.

The magistrate granted police four-day physical remand of the suspects.

Garden Town police had registered the first information report (FIR) on the complaint of Maj Harris’ father against the unidentified persons. After an initial investigation, the police arrested the security guards of the PML-N leaders.

Later Rafiq and Nauman also joined the police investigation.
