LAHORE: The Punjab government on Wednesday announced issuance of salaries to public servants in the province a few days earlier on account of Eidul Fitr.

A finance department notification available with Dawn states, “The Punjab government is pleased to approve the disbursement of pay and allowances and pension for the month of April 2022 in advance to Muslim government employees and pensioners on April 27 on account of Eidul Fitr.”

The Eidul Fitr is expected to be observed either on May 2 or 3.
