MIRANSHAH, Dec 2: Armed men kidnapped an official of the Tribal Electricity Supply Company and his two bodyguards from Mirali in the North Waziristan Agency on Friday, officials said.

The political authorities said that SDO Ikramullah and his bodyguards were going to Bannu from Miranshah in a pick-up when they were kidnapped. The kidnappers also took away the vehicle.

Three weeks ago, two sanitary workers, belonging to a minority community, were kidnapped from the bazaar of Miranshah, the headquarters of the tribal agency, sources said.

The political administration had failed to ascertain their whereabouts so far, they added.
