RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Noorul Amin Mengal on Wednesday said national development was not possible without the involvement of women in economic activities.

This is why Rawalpindi Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RWCCI) was provided an office at Crisis Centre Social Welfare Complex Shamsabad to provide its services. The contract of the office was further extended by Mr Mengal.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of the chamber. Additional Commissioner Coordination Saif Anwar Jappa, RWCCI Founder President Asma Kanwal and other office-bearers were also present in the meeting.

Mr Mengal said the Punjab government would allocate land for RWCCI chambers.

The commissioner was briefed about details of the chamber’s operations. Participants of the meeting were informed that the chamber will provide its members with an opportunity to interact with international counterparts and facilitate research and development. Our goal is to create a conducive environment for the development of female workers and help local women establish their business interests, nationally and internationally.
