RAWALPINDI, Dec 2: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Friday announced that the provincial government would undertake the construction on a flyover from Chandni Chowk to Murrir Chowk to streamline traffic in the city. Talking to a public gathering at Khokar House, Pervaiz Elahi also announced Rs1 billion for various development schemes in all the tehsils of the district.

He said the Punjab government would construct the Band Khanna Road and Dhoke Khabba hospital, besides widening the Transformer Chowk in the city.

The chief minister said with the cooperation of Asian Development Bank, Rs5 billion would be spent on improvement of sewerage and water supply networks in Rawalpindi.
