SHIKARPUR, Dec 2: A training workshop on ‘formation of Insaf (justice) committees and Musalihati Anjumans’ was held here on Friday at the district council hall. The workshop was organized by a local government department in collaboration with the Gender Justice Through Musalihat Anjuman (GJTMA), the United Nations Development Programme and the government of Pakistan.

The local government department secretary, Mohammad Ishaque Lashari, was the chief guest.

Dr Sikandar Ali Panhwar, the project director of the GJTMA, presided over the function.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Lashari urged nazims, naib nazims and councillors of union councils to form Insaf committees and Musalihati Anjumans in accordance with the provisions of the SLGO 2001, so that elected representatives could be able to provide cheap and early justice to people without any discrimination.
