New theme song of Pokemon Journeys

Pokemon Journeys has put Ash and Goh through the wringer over the course of its hundred episodes, but now, the voice actors behind these characters are being given a new challenge: singing the theme song of the series.

Since the very beginning of the Pokemon anime, Rica Matsumoto has provided the voice of Ash Ketchum, referred to as Satoshi in the original Japanese version. The English voice of Ash has had three different voice actors bring him to life — Veronica Taylor, Kayzie Rogers and Sarah Natochenny.

With Goh being a relatively new character to the series, Yamashita has only just begun voicing Ash’s right-hand man.


House from Edward Scissorhands for sale

The house made famous by the 1990 film Edward Scissorhands is on sale in Florida for $699,900. The residence comes with memorabilia, including a life-sized mannequin of the title character.

The Lutz, Fla., home, currently owned by Joey Klops, was made famous as the home of the family that took in Johnny Depp’s character in the film.

Klops remodelled the home to make the interior resemble the sets in the film. It is stocked with memorabilia, including authentic and reproduced props, an original script used by the movie’s pop master and a life-sized Edward Scissorhands mannequin.

The exterior has unusual landscaping designed to resemble the topiary art created by Edward.


DC’s Blue Beetle film casts update

Harvey Guillén, Bruna Marquezine and Belissa Escobedo have joined the cast of DC Comics’ Blue Beetle.

Guillén’s role is being kept under wraps, while Marquezine will portray Penny, the female lead of the film and love interest for Blue Beetle, a Latino superhero.

Xolo Maridueña (Cobra Kai) is taking on the lead role of Jamie Reyes, who becomes the Blue Beetle after an alien scarab is implanted into his spine.

The scarab, which can communicate with Jaime, gives him armour and a host of powers, including the ability to fly and use alien weapons. Blue Beetle is set to it theatres on August 18, 2023.
