LAHORE: Former general secretary of PTI in Punjab and ex-MPA Shoaib Siddiqui says Chief Minister Usman Buzdar is responsible for bad governance and corruption in Punjab.

Commenting on the current political situation, Mr Siddiqui, an aide of Aleem Khan, said PM Imran Khan would not have faced the present crisis had he relied on his loyal comrades.

“The de facto rule in Punjab is of the Gujranwala group as all postings and transfers and important decisions are made by it,” he said, adding the rate of corruption in the province had increased three to four times during the Buzdar rule.

Mr Siddiqui said the Aleem Khan group had come out openly against Usman Buzdar. However, the group has yet not disclosed its strength and faces. He said anyone who could afford a “big bag” was given prized post in the province.
