THATTA: Nazim slams zoning system

THATTA, Dec 1: District Nazim Shafqat Hussain Shah Shirazi has taken notice of the zoning system, discretely announced by sugar mill owners to force farmers to sell their crops only to the mill owners of their area and termed it illegal. In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that the zoning system was tantamount to deprive the cane growers of their rights.

The nazim advised the sugarcane growers of Thatta to sell the crops according to their choice and convenience.
