KARACHI: Pakistan Navy fleet units demonstrated their firepower, combat readiness and war fighting potential through live weapon firing of anti-ship missiles and torpedoes in the North Arabian Sea on Sunday.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammed Amjad Khan Niazi witnessed the live weapons firing along with senior tri-services officers.

Reaffirming PN’s war fighting capability and combat potential, Pakistan Navy ships, aircraft and submarines successfully hit their intended targets during the demonstration.

The live weapons firing was conducted on the culmination of the sea phase of PN’s major maritime exercise Seaspark-2022. The exercise was conducted to validate the operational plans and war preparedness of the Pakistan Navy.

The naval chief expressed his complete satisfaction on the operational readiness of the Pakistan Navy and its preparedness to defend national maritime interests. He also commended the officers and men for their commitment and professionalism.

The CNS said Pakistan Navy was always ready to thwart any aggression against Pakistan’s maritime frontiers and would continue to play an important role in making defence of the motherland impregnable.

Pakistan Navy stands fully prepared to tackle threats across the entire spectrum of warfare. The show of firepower by surface, sub-surface and aviation units is manifestation of Pakistan Navy’s resolve.
