Haris slams match-winner

LAHORE, Nov 29: Three goals by Sufi Muhammad Haris steered Master Paints to a narrow 5- 4 1/2 win over Sea Gold in the Omroc Cup polo tournament at the LPC ground on Tuesday.

The losers, who had a half-goal handicap, led the first chukker 1 1/2-1 as Mian Omar Farooq struck first for them. Haris scored his first for Master.

The winners dominated the second chukker scoring three goals to take 4-2 1/2 lead. Haris scored his second while Talha Saeed contributed two. For the losers Ali Riaz scored a goal. In the third chukker both teams scored a goal each. Haris scored his final goal while Feroze Gulzar scored for the losers.

In the final chukker Ali Riaz scored the solitary goal of the chukker but in vain..

In two double chukkers matches, Shahpur Sabre won both. First they defeated Data Hybrid Corn 5-1 and then they defeated Jeuni 3-2. Jeuni were also defeated by Data Hybrid Corn 2 1/2-1.
