Factory owner injured, robbed of Rs2m

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 29: Two gunmen shot and injured a factory owner and took away Rs2 million in cash from him on Tuesday. Police said Mian Khalid Hamid was on his way to the factory after drawing the amount from a bank in Liaquatpur. Two motorcyclists intercepted him some distance away, shot at and injured him when he put up resistance and escaped with the money.

The injured was rushed to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital where his condition was stated to be precarious.

Liquatpur police have registered a case.
