LAHORE: The package announced by the prime minister is not ‘long march-specific’, rather it’s aimed at providing relief to the public at large, said federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry.

Talking to the media here on Tuesday afternoon, the minister said: “The package has nothing to do with the protest campaign. Such elaborate packages take months to get finalised because billions of rupees have to be spared. The government had been working on it for the last four months, much before the opposition announced a long march and planned no-confidence move.”

“I have not even seen how the PPP long march is proceeding. Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari should see videos of his mother’s long marches and learn how these marches are held. Such small events hardly merit the government attention, leave alone response,” he claimed.
