LAHORE: The National Junior Badminton Championships for Boys and Girls reached the semi-finals stage here on Saturday.

Amer Hassan Janjua of Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Najam-ul-Saqib and Fahad Khan, and Mohammad Ahmad of Punjab reached the U-15 boys singles semi-finals.

In the U-17 boys singles, Mohammad Hashir (KP), Muhammad Zaid (KP), Sanwal Shafiq (Punjab) and Umer Farooq (KP) made the last four while Ammarah Ishtiaq (Sindh), Aiman Fatima (Punjab), Kanzul Eman (Islamabad) and Mariyam Hanif (Sindh) qualified for the U-17 girls singles semi-finals.

Mohammad Afnan (KP), Raja Hassan (New Khan), Hamza Khan (KP) and Abdullah Siddiqui (Sindh) reached the U-19 men’s singles semi-finals.

In the U-19 women’s singles, Alja Tariq (Balochistan), Umama Usman (Army), Sana Hanif (Sindh) and Sumiya Tariq (Army) qualified for the semi-finals.
