DADU: A couple and their son died on the spot when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a van at Chowdagi section of the Indus Highway near Dadu city on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Amir Bux Jamali, Bhagul Jamali and their son Anas Jamali.

Dadu SSP Irfan Samoo said that the motorcycle was hit by the Larkana-bound van coming from Hyderabad, adding that both the vehicles were impounded and the bodies were transported to the Dadu Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

He said the bodies were later sent to the couple’s native town, Phulji Station.

The van driver managed to escape from the accident site, he added.
