LAHORE: The district administration on Monday announced a three-days Faiz festival from March 4 to 6.

Commissioner retired Capt Muhammad Usman and chairperson of Alhamra Moneeza Hashmi at a meeting reviewed arrangements for the festival in the committee room of the Alhamra Arts Centre.

Commissioner Mr Usman instructed the departments to make the festival a success.

He said the festival’s beauty would be enhanced by holding this honour under the banner of the City of Literature.

Domestic and foreign delegates would attend the festival and programmes on Faiz poetry, literature, and creativity would be part of the festival. All departments would be on board.

Alhamra Executive Director Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi said the festival is an opportunity for art lovers from all over the world to turn to Alhamra.

The Faiz Festival is held every year and that is also an honour for Alhamra itself, he added.
