Woman, children suffer acid attack

VEHARI: An unidentified youth threw acid on a woman and her children here on Saturday at Muslim Town in Danywal police precincts.

Reports said a youth threw acid on Sana (25) and her four children when she was standing in front of her house. As a result Sana and her daughter Dua (2) received burns whereas Kiran (7), Rabia (3), and son Baban (5) remained unscathed.

Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to Vehari DHQ hospital.

According to a rescuer, the lower body parts of Sana and her daughter received burns. Danywal Station House Officer ASI Anees said police have registered a case and are investigating the matter with no arrest. The injured are said to be stable.
