SWABI: Adviser to chief minister on industry, Abdul Karim said here on Tuesday that work on construction of Hund Water Theme Park would start soon.

Addressing a function in his native Tordher village, he said the park to be built at a cost Rs3.5 billion would have modern recreational facilities to attract people not only from Swabi district but also from the other regions.

“We have already acquired 400 kanals of land and construction work on the park is expected to start soon as a road to the park has already been constructed,” he said, adding it would have a separate section for families, water sport, indoor gaming facilities and an adventure zone.

Mr Karim said the theme park would contribute to the health of children, youth and senior citizens.

ONE KILLED: A man was killed over a petty issue in Kabasni village of Gadoon region on Tuesday, the police said.

Utla police station officials told Dawn that the victim, Said Ameer, was targeted when he was on way to his fields allegedly by Khalid Shah and his son, Umair Shah.

They said the police had arrested Khalid Shah and recovered a pistol from him. Search for his son continued, they added.

A brother of the deceased got registered an FIR, stating that cause of the incident was rivalry over a woman’s relation.

Meanwhile, the police arrested two proclaimed offenders on Tuesday. They were identified as Zahir Rehman and Habibur Rehman.

Also in the day, the police arrested a thief for stealing cash from the house of the principal of Government College, Kotha, a few days ago.

DSP Topi Pasham Gul Khan said they also recovered Rs250,000 looted cash from the thief, Kishwar Khan, a resident of Topi city.
