Pakistan has detected 3,019 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, down from 3,498 a day earlier.
It also marks the third day that new infections have remained under 4,000. The positivity rate has been recorded at 5.4 per cent, compared to 6pc a day earlier.
The country also reported 44 more deaths, up from 39 yesterday.
The nationwide breakdown is as follows:
- Sindh: 852 cases, 13 deaths
- Punjab: 760 cases, 13 deaths
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 997 cases, 16 deaths
- Balochistan: 31 cases, 1 death
- Islamabad: 181 cases, 1 death
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 42 cases
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 156 cases
