MARDAN: The Board of Governors (BoG) of Medical Teaching Institute Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) and Bacha Khan Medical College (BKMC) has removed the medical, and the hospital director.

Relevant officials said here on Friday that the decision was taken at a meeting of the BoG held two days ago presided over by its chairman Dr Javaid Khan.

The BoG removed hospital director Dr Tariq Mahmood and appointed Dr Abdul Jamil in his place. The officials said Dr Jamil was a project director of BKMC and Nursing College, Mardan.

Similarly, the board removed medical director Dr Mukhtial Ali and appointed Dr Imad Hameed of the ENT department as acting medical director of the hospital.

Besides, the board removed BoG secretary Asghar Khan and appointed director finance Mohammad Shiraz as acting secretary BoG.
