LOWER DIR: Several political activists have joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in Lower Dir district.

A prominent lawyer and Jamaat-i-Islami activist Arab Gul Advocate on Friday announced joining the PML-N during a function held in Jandol.

PML-N candidate for Jandol tehsil chairman slot Mohammad Zaman and others were also in attendance.

Speaking on the occasion, Arab Gul said he had served JI for over 40 years, but now he wished to join the PML-N.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf activists Yasir Khan and Amanullah along with their families and friends announced joining PML-N at a function held in Rabat the other day.

PML-N MPA Sobia Khan, divisional president and former provincial minister Malik Jehanzeb Khan, district president Malik Farooq Iqbal and others were also present.

Similarly, JI activist Habib Gul announced joining the PML-N along with his family and relatives during a function held in Darangal area.

FACILITIES AT HEALTH CENTRES: District health officer Dr Irshad Ahmad Rughani on Friday said all dysfunctional diagnostic units and labour rooms at the basic health units had been made functional. He said the hospitals would now provide X-Rays and clinical tests facilities to patients.

Talking to journalists, he said the door-to-door vaccination drive against Covid-19 was in progress in all parts of the district. Mr Rughani said a hematology analyser machine had been installed at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Samarbagh, and biochemistry analyser machine at the Gulabad rural health centre.
