QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to bifurcate Lasbela district by establishing a new district comprising Hub and four other tehsils.

The proposal for the new district was presented by senior provincial minister for local government and rural development Sardar Muhammad Saleh Bhootani at the cabinet meeting.

Official sources said that the cabinet, after discussing the proposal, approved the new district of Hub in the province.

The new district would comprise Hub, Winder, Gaddani, Sakran and Dureji.

Sardar Muhammad Saleh Bhootani told the cabinet that it was the long-standing demand of the people of PB-49 constituency to set up a new district.

Meanwhile, MNA Muhammad Aslam Bhootani has welcomed the decision of the provincial cabinet and thanked Chief Minister Bizenjo for approving the new district.
