TAXILA: Attock police registered a case against a man for allegedly killing his mother in an accidental fire in village Bolniwal on Saturday.

Police sources said the man was cleaning his gun when his 55-year-old mother was hit by a bullet inadvertently fired from it. The woman died on the spot. Later, her body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital and after an autopsy handed over to the family.

Moreover, three persons lost their lives and one was injured in separate incidents in Attock and Taxila.

In the first incident, a man was killed and his brother injured when a speedy dumper hit them on Taxila-Hattar Road near the Heavy Mechanical Complex (HMC) in the limits of Taxila police.

Police said Khurrum along with his brother Adeel was going to work on his motorcycle when the incident occurred.

Later, scores of his colleagues blocked Taxila-Hattar Road in protest against the local administration for allowing heavy traffic in the city despite a ban from morning to 4pm.

They dispersed after the local administration ensured the protesters that the ban on the heavy traffic would be implemented in letter and spirit.

Moreover, a 16-year-old boy identified as Shoaib died after being electrocuted in Khanabad area near Wah Model Town. Police said the victim had climbed an electric pole to catch a pigeon.

Moreover, a teenage motorcyclist died on Chach interchange road near College Chowk.

Police said Rehmatullah, 15, was doing a wheelie when he lost control of the motorcycle and collided with an electric pole and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, Attock police on Saturday arrested a man for molesting and injuring a 12-year-old boy in village Lakhori in the limits of Hazro police.

The victim’s father reported to the police that his son was playing outside his house when Mubashir Jan took him to his house and molested him. As he put up resistance, the suspect injured him with a knife.

A medical examination at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Hazro confirmed the assault after which the police registered a case and arrested the accused.
